Bill Bailey

Founder and President

Bill has extensive experience in both the direct selling and conventional marketing industries since 1990. More recently, he has been active in the field of employee ownership. In 2021, he was appointed to the Pittsburgh Citywide Task Force on Employee Ownership by the Pennsylvania Center for Employee Ownership (PaCEO). Bill served as president of the Allegheny East NAACP ('06 -'08) as well as vice president of RAMP, a non profit focused on closing the achievement gap in education ('07-'24). Mr. Bailey attended Edinboro University, majoring in Computer Science with a minor in Mathematics.

           Lorraine Kennedy

Lorraine Kennedy is a dedicated lifelong resident of Western Pennsylvania, holding a bachelor's degree in political science and history, as well a law degree from the University of Pittsburgh. With over 20 years of experience, she has worked as an educator at TenderCare Learning Center and as an administrator at AAA, while also volunteering at the Carnegie Museum of Natural History. From 2020 to 2024, she served as secretary RAMP, a nonprofit organization focused on closing the achievement gap in. Since 2017, Lorraine has been a judicial assistant to a judge in family and orphans' court, further showcasing her commitment to community service and justice.

DaVonn Brown

 Treasurer

DaVonn Brown is a native of Pittsburgh’s Lawrenceville neighborhood. DaVonn graduated Cum Laude from the University of Pittsburgh with a B.S. as a double major in Psychology & Communication: Rhetoric and Communication. Mr. Brown went on to work for the people of Pittsburgh as the Legislative Assistant representing the City's 8th Council District. DaVonn proudly volunteers with TreePittsburgh, the Western PA Conservancy, Oakland Planning and Development Corporation (OPDC), the Black Political Empowerment Project (B-PEP), Habitat for Humanity, Allegheny County Anchored Reentry Coalition (ACAR), and Allegheny Cleanways. Today, Mr. Brown continues to serve the citizens of District 8 as the Community Engagement Coordinator and Constituent Services Manager.

Kevin McPhillips

Board Member

Kevin McPhillips has enjoyed more than 30 years working in both nonprofit and private leadership. Before joining the Pennsylvania Center for Employee Ownership (PaCEO), Mr. McPhillips served as CEO of 1000 Museums, the leading online community destination for museums and exhibitions from around the world. Prior, he was President of The Princeton Companies, handpicked by the Governor’s Office as a model of NJ Business growth, served as President of Direct Group, one of the nation’s largest Direct Marketing firms, and spent 8 years leading non-profit centers for citizens with special needs. His experiences managing and owning businesses taught him that employee ownership and investment is good business. Kevin is a product of Northwestern University.

                 Juan Lacey

                     Board Member

Juan Lacey is the CEO of Farms Close By, a startup indoor vertical farming business that will be headquartered in Duquesne, Pennsylvania. He currently serves as a Mentor for the Keystone Founder Institute and previously held the role of Managing Director for the Pittsburgh Founder Institute, where he assisted numerous startups in securing funding.

Earlier in his career, Mr. Lacey served as the Information and Records Manager for four banks and for the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers in Washington, D.C. He has also served as an adjunct instructor for the University of Phoenix, Catholic University, and Sojourner University, teaching various business management courses. He holds an MBA from Averett University.
